Get to know me
My Story
Miami, Florida
I'm Tahmina — an instructional designer who believes that learning should feel like possibility, not obligation.
With a background rooted in both teaching and English, I've spent the last several years helping educators and learners navigate complex ideas through thoughtfully designed experiences. My work lives at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and technology.
I'm drawn to projects where clarity matters — where breaking
something complicated into something accessible can genuinely change
how someone thinks, performs, or grows. That challenge never gets old.
As an Instructional Designer, I follow research-backed educational models and theories to develop and design experiences, content, and other materials to aid in skills and knowledge acquisition.
I am lucky enough to collaborate with the many great subject matter experts to curate the content to include in the course for programs such as the Online MBA and Master of Science in Health Informatics & Analytics. I assist faculty in devising interaction and assessment to ensure optimum efficacy of learning. I also support faculty ensure their courses are designed to meet the state and university standards, specifically ensuring courses meet Quality Matters standards and is ADA Compliant.
What I Do
Where I spend my energy
My Mission
I aim to design learning experiences that are accessible, engaging, and genuinely useful — helping people grow with confidence and clarity, wherever they are in their journey. My mission is to design meaningful learning experiences that empower both educators and students. By combining instructional design principles, thoughtful pedagogy, and innovative technology, I want to build engaging, accessible, and high-quality learning environments. I strive to make online education more effective, inclusive, and impactful through strong course design, faculty partnership, and continuous improvement.
Day-to-Day
I collaborate with faculties in all field of studies to create courses that not only serve the purpose of sharing knowledge and wisdom with students but do so in an engaging way, utilizing various tools at our disposal. I assist faculty in enhancing the learning experience, designing the course to be more user-friendly and stimulating, (re)designing materials, and many other aspects of online teaching. I enjoy using and teaching how to use education technology tools, such as PlayPosit, h5P, iPeer, Cidilabs, Yellowdig, Perusall, and VoiceThread. It is my absolute passion to make education fun, accessible, and engaging.
My Approach
I lead with curiosity and empathy. Before designing anything, I ask: who is the learner, what do they already know, and what do they actually need? The answer shapes everything — structure, tone, format, and feedback.
